What to Expect with Dialectical Behavioral Therapy with New Point of View Counseling
Dialectical-behavioral therapy (DBT) is a form of psychotherapy that is used to provide skills that can help you lead a more functional and happy life. DBT typically consists of individual therapy sessions, DBT groups and phone coaching. Individual DBT sessions may last for 60 minutes, while a DBT group therapy session is typically 90 minutes and phone coaching is 15 minutes. DBT skills groups help you learn and practice these new skills alongside others. Members of the DBT group are encouraged to share their experiences and provide mutual support for other members in the group.
DBT is an excellent tool to help you improve your daily symptoms and overcome negative emotions and behaviors. Call us at 602-550-5221 for more information, or complete the form to request your first appointment.
