Create a beautiful, loving and fulfilling life as a couple
“Being the 'best you can be' is really only possible when you are deeply connected to another. Splendid isolation is for planets, not people.”
― Sue Johnson
Are you and your spouse experiencing communication issues? Do you feel as if the spark has gone from your relationship and all you do is argue, live as roommates, avoid each other, blame, criticize and complain to each other and about each other? Do you often feel angry when interacting with your family? Do you have trouble getting along with your coworkers or employees?
Emotionally focused therapy (EFT Therapy) is a form of psychotherapy to help you improve negative thoughts, interactions, behaviors and cycles in your relationships (romantic, family and even workplace).
Who can Benefit from Emotionally Focused Treatment?
Emotionally focused therapy can be perfect for couples or families who are stuck in a negative interaction cycle in which your arguments feel like groundhog day. EFT can help to address these negative interactions (demon dialogues) and behaviors, helping you to develop and have more mindful and effective interactions.

About EFT Therapy
This psychotherapy technique can help provide you with new skills to aid in better communication and lessen negative interactions, behaviors and cycles. EFT is a short-term form of therapy that focuses on adult relationships and problems with attachment and/or bonding. Your EFT therapist will help you look at patterns in your relationship and take the steps needed to create a more secure bond. Developing more trust to allow you to move the relationship in a healthier, more positive direction.
What to Expect with Emotionally Focused Therapy
EFT consists of three stages. The first stage of EFT is to de-escalate the couple’s or family member’s negative cycle of interactions. Helping them to see and understand what is happening in their relationship. The next stage of EFT is to restructure interactions within the relationship. Your EFT therapist helps to discuss fears in the relationship using language that doesn’t push the other away or cause negative reactions. The third and final stage is consolidation. Your therapist will help you gain insight as to how your negative patterns started and will point out how you are able to change those patterns and use the same skills in the future.
