Anna Mooney, MA, LAC

“The wounds of your past may shape your story, but they do not have to write your future”

You may be exhausted from carrying the weight of anxiety, trauma, grief, relationship struggles, or the pressure to hold everything together. Perhaps you're stuck in patterns that no longer serve you, struggling to set boundaries, or feeling disconnected from yourself and the people you love. Whatever brings you here, you don't have to face it alone.

My name is Anna Mooney and I am Licensed by the Arizona Board of Behavioral Health Examiners. I provide a warm, supportive, and LGBTQIA+ affirming space where healing begins with feeling seen, understood, and accepted. Clients often describe me as compassionate, practical, and engaged. I balance empathy with honest feedback, helping you gain insight while building skills that create lasting change.

My work is grounded in Attachment Theory, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and trauma-informed care. I also utilize EMDR and Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) and Gottman Couples Therapy to help individuals and couples heal from past wounds, improve relationships, regulate emotions, reduce codependency, and develop healthier ways of connecting with themselves and others.

"Until you make the unconscious conscious, it will direct your life, and you will call it fate." Carl Jung

Together, we'll explore how past experiences continue to influence your thoughts, emotions, behaviors, and relationships. As we work through what has been holding you back, you'll develop practical tools to navigate challenges with greater confidence, resilience, and self-compassion.

Our first session is simply a conversation about what's bringing you in, what's been helping or hurting, and what you'd like to be different. Whether you're seeking relief from emotional pain, healing from trauma, or looking to strengthen your relationships, therapy can be a place to reconnect with yourself and move toward a more authentic, fulfilling life.

You don't have to wait until things become overwhelming to seek support. I look forward to walking alongside you on your road of self-discovery.
